The cause of Engine hard starting is depend on the vehicle condition, and therefore the vehicle condition should be inspected first. Check rotation of the starter with "Start" position of ignition key. Depending on the rotation of the starter, go to "Impossible Cranking Inspection" procedure or "Possible Cranking Inspection" procedure.
In case of the vehicle equipped Auto Transmission, select the "N(P)" position.(In case of the vehicle equipped Manual Transmission, Step on the clutch pedal)

Check the rotation of the starter.
When engine cranking is possible,
Go to "Possible Cranking Inspection" procedure.
When engine cranking is impossible,
Go to "Impossible Cranking Inspection" procedure.
