Check pin connection of the fuel pump connector after disconnecting fuel pump connector.

An Engine doesn’t stall quickly by abnormal fuel system. Engine stalling is delayed by remaining fuel pressure. Therefore engine stalls after poor accelerating or hesitating. Engine stalling caused by abnormal fuel system should be checked fuel pressure by inspecting fuel pump and connection condition of fuel pump power circuit.
IG "OFF"
Disconnect the fuel pump relay from E/R Junction box.
Check pin connections of the E/R Junction box and the fuel pump relay.
Check pin connection of the fuel pump connector after disconnecting fuel pump connector.
Specification : Approx. B+
Are pin connections of fuel pump relay and fuel pump connector normal?
YES
Go to "Fuel pressure Inspection" procedure as below.
NO
Repair(Replace) pin connections of the fuel pump relay and fuel pump connector.
IG "OFF"
Install a fuel pressure gauge.
Engine "ON"
Check fuel pressure of the fuel pressure gauge. (Check fuel pressure at idle, accelerating and stall test)
Specification : Approx. 375~385 kpa (3.82 ~ 3.92 kg/㎠, 54.3 ~ 55.8 psi ) at idle (Fuel pressure is kept after stopping of engine.)
Is fuel pressure normal?
YES
Fuel pump is OK.
NO
Replace the fuel pump assembly.
