Measure the voltage between terminal "4" of the fuel pump harness connector and chassis ground.

Probe(+) : Terminal "4" of the fuel pump harness connector.

If fuel pump relay is NOT operated directly, Fuel pump power circuit should be checked. The purpose of the inspection is to check fuel pump power circuit.
Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
IG "START"
Measure the voltage between terminal "4" of the fuel pump harness connector and chassis ground.
Probe(+) : Terminal "4" of the fuel pump harness connector.
Probe(-) : chassis ground
Specification : approx. B+
Is the measured voltage within Specification?
YES
Go to "Fuel pump ground circuit Inspection "procedure.
NO
Check for open or short to chassis ground between fuel pump relay(U/H Junction box) and fuel pump harness connector.
