Preparation
Remove the 2nd seat (Refer to "BD" group in this SERVICE MANUAL).
Open the carpet for fuel pump (A).
Remove the service cover for fuel pump (A).
Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A).
Start the engine and wait until fuel in fuel line is exhausted.
After engine stops, turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the fuel feed quick-connector (A).
Open the carpet for sub fuel sender (A).
Open the service cover for sub fuel sender (A).
Disconnect the sub fuel sender connector (A).
Lift the vehicle and remove the muffler assembly and the propeller shaft (4WD) (Refer to "EM" and "DS" groups in this SERVICE MANUAL).
Support the fuel tank with a jack.
Disconnect the fuel filler hose (A).
Disconnect the leveling hose quick-connector (A) and the vacuum tube quick-connector (B) connecting the canister and the fuel tank air filter.
Disconnect the vacuum hoses (A,B).
Disconnect the 4WD coupling control wiring (A) from the fuel tank cover.
Unscrew the fuel tank bank mounting nuts (A) and remove the fuel tank from the vehicle.
Install the fuel tank in according to the reverse order of "REMOVAL" procedure.
Fuel tank band mounting nuts: 39.2 ~ 53.9N·m (4.0 ~ 5.5kgf·m, 28.9 ~ 39.8lbf·ft)
