Measure the resistance between terminal "5" of the Fuel Pump harness connector and chassis ground.

If fuel pump relay is NOT operated directly, Fuel pump ground circuit should be checked. The purpose of the inspection is to check fuel pump ground circuit.
Disconnect the Fuel Pump Connector.
Measure the resistance between terminal "5" of the Fuel Pump harness connector and chassis ground.
Probe(+) : Terminal "5" of the fuel pump harness connector
Probe(-) : chassis ground
Specification : below 1Ω
Is the measured resistance within Specification?
YES
Faulty fuel pump
NO
Check for open between fuel pump harness connector and fuel pump chassis ground.
