Engine stalling could be caused by automatic transmission fluid level and stuck of the TCC(Torque Converter Clutch or Damper clutch) solenoid valve. The purpose of inspection is to check automatic transmission fluid level and TCC(Torque Converter Clutch or Damper clutch) solenoid valve.
Engine "ON" and allow the engine to warm up to normal operating temperature.
Depress the brake pedal and move the shift lever slowly all ranges.
Set shift lever in "P" position and check the ATF level.
Is ATF(Automatic Transmission Fluid) level normal?
YES
Go to "TCC(Torque Converter Clutch or Damper clutch) slip inspection" procedure as below.
NO
Refill or Replace ATF.
Engine "ON"
Connect a scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC) and check current data.
Check TCC slip data.
Specification : TCC slip : over 10 rpm
Is TCC slip data within specification?
YES
TCC(Torque Converter Clutch or damper clutch) is OK.
NO
Check the TCC(Torque Converter Clutch or damper clutch) and TCC solenoid valve.
