Description
caution

Inspect that ECM has the right IQA code of each injector.

Each Injector which is produced a manufacturing process has the variation of fuel injection quantity in a permitted limits. Therefore each injector has the specific data (7digit) on the surface of injector connector for fuel compensation. ECM can control fuel injection (IQA: Injector Quantity Adjustment) precisely by using the specific data (7digit). The specific data (7digit) must be input to ECM by using scantool. In case of EURO-4 injector, there is 5 compensatory process in the IQA (Injector Quantity Adjustment). 5 compensatory process are EM (Emission point), LL(low load), VL(full load), VE1(Pilot injection1), VE2(Pilot injection2).

Diagnostic procedure
Injector IQA inspection
1.

Check the IQA code (7digit) written on the surface of injector connector.

2.

IG KEY "ON", ENGINE "OFF"

3.

Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).

4.

Select "Injector correction" function.

5.

Press "ENTER" key after reading guidance on the scantool.

6.

Injector IQA code which is input ECM are displayed on the scantool.

- Inspect that ECM has the right IQA code (7digit) written on the surface of each injector connector.

Input injector IQA code
7.

Select the cylinder first.

8.

Input the IQA code by using F1~F6 key or arrow key. (Shift +arrow key : select the cylinder)

9.
