Select the ampere range on the multitester after connecting probe. (Use proper port)
Do not disconnect the battery (-) terminal entirely. If over current (above 10A) is measured, fuse in the multitester is blown.
When battery is discharged although the charging system is normal, Inspect the dark current.

Connect probes refer to as below.
- Red (+) probe : Battery (-) terminal cable
- Black (-) probe : Battery (-) terminal
Disconnect the battery (-) cable. (Probe must be connected)
- If probe is disconnected, dark current might appear because battery power is disconnected entirely.
- When battery terminal is reconnected, current consumption is too high for vehicle initialization. Please measure the dark current after vehicle initialization.
Check the dark current on the multimeter.
Remove the KEY from the Ignition switch.
Trunk and all doors must be closed.
Loom lamp, map lamp, courtesy lamp, glove box lamp, vanity lamps, Trunk room lamp…etc must be "OFF". and all doors must be closed.
Remove the hood switch connector.
Measure the dark current after approx. 5 minutes.
Specification : Below 0.03 A (Below 300 mA)
※ Dark current is abnormal. (Above 0.03A)
