Remove the shift lever knob(A).

Remove the shift lever knob(A).
Remove the center console cover (A).
Remove the center console cover by removing the two screws (A) and the four bolts (B). (See BD group)
Disconnect the interlock switch connector (A).
Remove the control cable assembly by removing the snap pin (A) and the clip (B).
Remove the shift lever bolts (A-4ea).
Remove the shift lever assembly.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
Adjusting method for T/M control cable
Set room side lever and T/M side lever to "N" position.
Connect room side lever and shift cable.
Connect T/M side lever to cable in a following orders.
Push cable lightly to "F" direction shown to eliminate FREE PLAY of cable.
Tighten adjusting nut(C).
After adjusting according to (2)-(4). Check to be sure that this part operates surely at each range of T/M side corresponding to each position of room lever.
