PAD Switch(Passenger airbag deactivation Switch) is the device which prevents Passenger airbag from being deployed when the passenger seat is unoccupied as driver turning OFF PAD Switch.
When PAD Switch turned OFF, " PASSENGER SRS OFF" lamp turns ON.
If you strike or spin the SRSCM at the IG “ON” state, the seat-belt pretensioner, curtain-airbag or side-airbag could be unfolded and bring on danger. Handle it with care.
The above DTCs are recorded when the defect of the PAD Switch is detected in PAD Switch circuit.
