IG key OFF.

Disconnect CMPS.

Check the condition of camshaft detecting teeth through CMPS mounting hall.

Is abnormal deformation of camshaft detecting teeth found?

	▶ Replace camshaft assy' or cylinder head assy' and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair".
	▶ Go to "CMPS waveform Inspection" as follows.

IG key OFF.

Connect CMPS connector.

Connect an oscilloscope prove to 'Signal' terminal of 'CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR' connector.

Engine ON.

Monitor the signal waveform at idle and during acceleration.

Fig.1) This shows waveform of CKPS and CMPS simultaneously. The middle area indicates reference points of CKPS and CMPS.

☞ Injection sequence is determined based on Low and High signal of CMPS reference point as detecting cylinder position.

Is the signal waveform normal?

	▶ Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Replaces CMPS, and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
