Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Electrical systems consist of a lot of harness and connectors, poor connection of terminals can cause various problems and damage of component.

2.

Perform checking procedure as follows.

(1)

Check damage of harness and terminals : Check terminals for contact resistance, corrosion and deformation.

(2)

Check connecting condition of ECM and component connector : Check terminal separation, damage of locking device and connecting condition between terminal and wiring.

Disconnect the pin which requires checking at male connector and insert it to the terminal at female connector for checking connecting condition.(After checking, reconnect the pin at correct position.)

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair the trouble causing part and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection".

Power Circuit Inspection
■ Check open in control circuit
1.

IG key OFF.

2.

Disconnect ACV connector.

3.

IG key ON.

4.

Check voltage between power terminal of VSA harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : 4.8~ 5.1V

Is the measured value within specification?

▶ Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair open between power terminal of 'VSA' and ECM harness connector, and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Control Circuit Inspection
■ Check open or short circuit
1.

IG key OFF.

2.

Place multi meter probe at signal terminal of ACV harness.

3.

Measure the voltage when IG key ON --> OFF.

Specification : 0.9~4.9 V during flap and ACV actuator learning.

Is the measured value within specification?

▶ Go to "Component Inspection" as follows.

▶ Repair open or short to ground between signal terminal of ECM and ACV harness, and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
