Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminal condition. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Has a problem been found?

	▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Go to "Control Circuit Inspection" procedure.

IG OFF.

Disconnect Instrument Cluster connector and TPMS ECU connector.

IG ON.

Measure voltage between TPMS lamp control terminal of TPMS ECU harness connector and chassis ground.

Is the measured value within specifications?

	▶ Go to "Check for short to ground in harness" procedure.
	▶ Repair short in the control circuit between Instrument Cluster and TPMS ECU, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

IG OFF.

Disconnect Instrument Cluster connector and TPMS ECU connector.

Measure resistance between TPMS lamp control terminal of TPMS ECU harness connector and chassis ground.

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Check for open in harness" procedure.
	▶ Repair short in the control circuit between Instrument Cluster and TPMS ECU, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

IG OFF.

Disconnect Instument Cluster connector and TPMS ECU connector.

Measure resistance between TPMS lamp control terminal of TPMS ECU harness connector and TPMS lamp control terminal of Instument Cluster harness connector.

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Substitute with a known-good TPMS LED and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace TPMS LED and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Repair open in the control circuit between Instument Cluster and TPMS ECU, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
