General Description

The TPMS system is the shorten word of Tire Pressure Monitoring System. This system monitors the pressure of the tire and when it drops below a certain pressure, the TPMS ECU makes the warning lamp turn on for notifying the driver. This system consists of TPMS ECU(or TPMS Receiver), Initiators and TPMS sensors. The TPMS ECU gets signals of the vehicle speed and then uses thoses for auto-learning and judgment for DTC.

DTC Description

The TPMS ECU monitors signals of vehicle speed and if it is detected as a fault in the vehicle speed signal 1 circuit, this DTC is set.

Threshold value

When a frequency of the inputted vehicle speed is too high for over 4 ms.

When a input-signal of vehicle speed is too high (more than 250 km/h)

Although the signals of driving condition are gotten from more than 2 WE sensors, there are no inputted signals of vehicle speed or those signals are too low (it is lower than 5 km/h for 4 minutes).
