Disconnect the EGR cooler hoses(A, B), lambda sensor connector(C) and VGT exhaust gas temperature sensor connector(D).
Remove the air duct and air cleaner housing.
Remove the battery tray.
Remove the intercooler pipe.
Disconnect the engine wire harness connectors from exhaust manifold side.
Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose and heater hose.
Disconnect the EGR cooler hoses(A, B), lambda sensor connector(C) and VGT exhaust gas temperature sensor connector(D).
Disconnect the turbo charger air intake hoses(A), breather hose(B) and VGT actuator vacuum hose(C).
Using the SST(09495-3K000), install the breather hose clamp.
Remove the EGR valve and cooler assembly(A).
Tightening torque :
Nuts(B), Bolt(C):
20 ~ 27N.m (2.0 ~ 2.7kgf.m, 15 ~ 20lb-ft)
Nuts(D) : 25 ~ 30N.m (2.5 ~ 3.0kgf.m, 19 ~ 22lb-ft)
Remove the oil separator(A).
Tightening torque :
8 ~ 12N.m (0.8 ~ 1.2kgf.m, 6 ~ 9lb-ft)
Remove the turbo charger heat protector(A, B).
Tightening torque :
17 ~ 22N.m (1.7 ~ 2.2kgf.m, 12 ~ 16lb-ft)
Remove the heater pipe heat protector(A).
Tightening torque :
8 ~ 10N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0kgf.m, 6 ~ 7lb-ft)
Disconnect the turbo charger oil feed pipe(A) and oil return hose(B).
Tightening torque :
35 ~ 45N.m (3.5 ~ 4.5kgf.m, 25.3 ~ 32.5lb-ft)
Remove the turbocharger support bracket mounting bolts(A).
Tightening torque :
35 ~ 45N.m (3.5 ~ 4.5kgf.m, 26 ~ 33lb-ft)
Remove the front muffler(A).
Tightening torque :
40 ~ 60N.m (4.0 ~ 6.0kgf.m, 30 ~ 43lb-ft)
Remove the EGR elbow(A) and turbocharger ＆ exhaust manifold assembly(B).
Tightening torque :
EGR elbow bolt and nuts :
20 ~ 27N.m (2.0 ~ 2.7kgf.m, 15 ~ 20lb-ft)
Exhaust manifold nuts :
30 ~ 35N.m (3.0 ~ 3.5kgf.m, 22 ~ 26lb-ft)
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Install the exhaust manifold(A) on the cylinder head with a new gasket(B).
Install the turbocharger supporting bracket and the oil feed/return pipes.
Tightening torque :
Exhaust manifold : 30 ~ 35N.m(3.0 ~ 3.5kgf.m, 21.7 ~ 25.3lb-ft)
Turbo charger support bracket : 35 ~ 40N.m(3.5 ~ 4.0kgf.m, 25.3 ~ 28.9lb-ft)
Oil feed pipe : 12 ~ 18N.m(1.2 ~ 1.8kgf.m, 8.7 ~ 13lb-ft)
Install the heat protector.
Tightening torque :
12 ~ 16N.m(1.2 ~ 1.6kgf.m, 8.7 ~ 10.8lb-ft)
Install the EGR valve and EGR cooler assembly(A).
Tightening torque :
25 ~ 30N.m(2.5 ~ 3.0kgf.m, 18.1 ~ 21.7lb-ft)
Install the EGR valve vacuum hose.
Install the EGR cooler hose(A).
