Component Inspection
■ RPS visual inspection
1.

IG key OFF.

2.

Disconnect RPS connector.

3.

Check for corrosion / damage / water intrusion in RPS connector / terminal.

4.

Check for RPS mounting torque and oil leakage.

5.

Are the problems relevant to RPS found?

▶ Replace RPS if necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair".

▶ Go to "RPS waveform inspection" as follows.

IG key OFF.

7.

Connect RPS connector.

8.

Connect an oscilloscope prove to 'Signal' terminal of 'RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR' connector.

9.

Engine ON.

10.

Monitor the signal waveform at idle and during acceleration.

Is the signal waveform normal?

▶ Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Replace RPS, and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

In case of replacing RPS, perform the "COMPONENT CHANGE ROUTINE" procedure with scan tool. If the "COMPONENT CHANGE ROUTINE" procedure has not completed until automatic learning completed, it may cause vehicle performance and exhaust gas problem.
