Electrical systems consist of a lot of harness and connectors, poor connection of terminals can cause various problems and damage of component.

Perform checking procedure as follows.

2.1) Check damage of harness and terminals : Check terminals for contact resistance, corrosion and deformation.

2.2) Check connecting condition of ECM and component connector : Check terminal separation, damage of locking device and connecting condition between terminal and wiring.

Disconnect the pin which requires checking at male connector and insert it to the terminal at female connector for checking connecting condition.(After checking, reconnect the pin at correct position.)

Is the problem found?

	▶ Repair the trouble causing part and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection".

Check voltage between 'Memory power' terminal of GCU harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : 10.5V ~ 14.5V

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Check ON/START input circuit" as follow.
	▶ Repair open / short between 'GLOW FUSIBLE LINK 80A' terminal in 'Fusible link box' and 'Memory power' terminal of 'GLOW CONTROL MODULE', and go to 'Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Check voltage between 'ON/START input' terminal of GCU harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : 10.5V ~ 14.5V

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Ground Circuit Inspection" procedure.
	▶ Repair short / open in the circuit between 'ABS 7.5A' terminal in 'E/R BOX' and 'ON/START input' terminal of 'GLOW CONTROL MODULE' harness connector and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Check resistance between 'Ground' terminal of GCU harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Continuity (Below 1.0Ω)

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.
	▶ Repair open between 'Ground' terminal of 'GLOW CONTROL MODULE' harness connector and chassis ground and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Check voltage between 'glow plug' terminal of glow plug connector and chassis ground.

Specification : approx. 3.3V

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Check control circuit" procedure.
	▶ Repair open or short between glow plug harness connector terminal and chassis ground and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Check voltage between 'control' terminal of GCU harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : approx. 3.3V

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Check feedback circuit" procedure.
	▶ Repair open or short between 'control' terminal of 'GCU' harness connector and 'control' terminal of 'ECM' harness connector and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Check voltage between 'Feedback' terminal of GCU harness connector and chassis ground.

Is the measured value within specification?

	▶ Go to "Component inspection" procedure.
	▶ Repair open or short between 'feedback' terminal of 'GCU' harness connector and 'feedback' terminal of 'ECM' harness connector and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
