IG key OFF.
Disconnect lambda sensor connector.
Visually check listed items as follows.
Check corrosion and water influx of terminal.
Check open in harness, tore out rubber on wiring of lambda sensor.
Check tightening torque for lambda sensor.
Check deformation of detecting part of lambda sensor and melting.
Specification : NO any problem.
Is the lambda sensor normal ?

![]() | ▶ In case of Diesel, There is different combustion characters from gasoline engine that makes extreme lean burn under general idle and driving condition. With lambda sensor, it would not show same signal change at all corresponding to gasoline under acceleration and load change. Even though pumping current also can not be measurable with general current meter because of max. 3mA. If DTC is continuously detected with no any problem on the circuit inspection and visual inspection of lambda sensor. Substitute with a known - good lambda sensor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace lambda sensor. and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
In case of replacing lambda sensor, perform the "COMPONENT CHANGE ROUTINE" procedure with scan tool. If the "COMPONENT CHANGE ROUTINE" procedure has not completed until automatic learning completed, it may cause vehicle performance and exhaust gas problem.
