Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.

Remove the 2nd seat (Refer to "SEAT" in BD group).

Open the carpet for the fuel pump and the carpet for the sub fuel sender.

Remove the fuel pump service cover (A).

Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A).

Disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (B) and the fuel return tube quick-connector (C).

Remove the sub fuel sender service cover (A).

Disconnect the sub fuel sender connector (A).

Lift the vehicle.

Remove the muffler assembly (Refer to "Intake and exhaust system" in EM group).

Remove the propeller shaft [4WD only] (Refer to "Propeller shaft" in DS group).

Support the fuel tank with a jack.

Remove the stay bracket (A).

Disconnect the fuel filler hose (A).

Disconnect the leveling tube quick-connector (A).

Remove the parking brake line bracket bolt (A).

Remove the installation nuts (A) and band (B), and then remove the fuel tank from the vehicle.

Installation is reverse of removal.
