To remove the fender apron panel assembly, drill out all spotwelds attaching cowl side upper outer panel.
Remove the cowl side upper outer panel.
To remove the fender apron panel assembly, drill out all spotwelds attaching fender apron inner support panel.
Remove the fender apron inner support panel.
Drill out all spotwelds and MIG plug welds, grind away MIG lap welds attaching the fender apron panel assembly.
When spotwelded portions are not apparent, remove paint with a rotary wire brush.
Remove the fender apron panel assembly.
Prepare all surfaces to be welded.
After removing, apply the welding primer.
Drill the holes in the flange of the replacement new fender apron panel assembly for MIG plug welding.
Fit and clamp the new fender apron panel assembly in place.
Measure each measurement point (Refer to the Body Dimensions) and correct the installation position.
MIG plug weld all holes and MIG lap weld the seams.
Drill the holes in the flange of the replacement new fender apron inner support panel for MIG plug welding.
Measure each measurement point (Refer to the Body Dimensions) and correct the installation position.
After applying epoxy adhesive, fit and clamp the new fender apron inner support panel in place.
Spot weld and MIG plug weld all hole.
If spot welding is impossible, MIG plug weld all hole.
Apply epoxy adhesive to the weld points of new panel or body panel.
Be sure to use the recommended epoxy adhesive below.
Epoxy adhesive : 3M(PN8115), Henkel(Terokal 5055) or equivalent.
Drill the holes in the flange of the replacement new cowl side upper outer panel for MIG plug welding.
Measure each measurement point (Refer to the Body Dimensions) and correct the installation position.
After applying epoxy adhesive, fit and clamp the new cowl side upper outer panel in place.
Spot weld and MIG plug weld all holes.
If spot welding is impossible, MIG plug weld all holes.
Apply epoxy adhesive to the weld points of new panel or body panel.
Be sure to use the recommended epoxy adhesive below.
Epoxy adhesive : 3M(PN8115), Henkel(Terokal 5055) or equivalent.
Clean and prepare all welds, and remove all residues.
Apply an anti-corrosion agent as required (Refer to the Corrosion Protection).
Prepare the exterior surfaces for priming using wax and grease remover.
Apply the correct seam sealer to all joints carefully (Refer to the Body Sealing Location).
