When the voltage is lower than the expected normal value, this code is set.
If the voltage recovers, to within normal operating range, then the controller returns to normal operations as well.
Item | Detecting Condition | Possible cause
DTC Strategy |
•
Battery Voltage Monitoring | 1. Poor connection 2. Open or short to ground in power supply circuit (ABS) 3. Faulty Alternator 4. Discharge of electricity
Case 1 (Low voltage) | Enable Conditions |
•
When Vbat less than 9.4V±0.5V is continued for 0.5sec during Vref faster than 7Km/h.
•
When Vbat less than 8.4V±0.5V is continued for 0.5sec during Vref slower than 7Km/h or ABS/ESP(ESC) control. - If IGN voltage is recovered to normal operating voltage, the system recovers to normal state.
Fail Safe |
•
The ABS/ESP(ESC)/DBC/AVH functions are inhibited, EBD function is allowed
•
Outside the ABS control cycle : When the voltage recovers the normal operating range, DTC will be cleared automatically.
•
Inside the ABS control cycle : Although the voltage recovers the normal operating range, warning lamps are illuminated and the error code is always stored.
MIL |
•
The ABS/ESP(ESC)/DBC warning lamps are activated. The AVH warning lmap is activated in case of the vehicle equipped with AVH.
Case 2 (Undervoltage) | Enable Conditions |
•
The control is inhibited if Vbat is below 8.0±0.5V longer than 0.06sec. A failure is detected if this condition continues longer than 0.05sec. - If IGN voltage is recovered to normal operating voltage, the system recovers to normal state.
Fail Safe |
•
All functions are inhibited
MIL |
•
The EBD/ABS/ESP(ESC) warning lamps are activated. The AVH warning lmap is activated in case of the vehicle equipped with AVH.
Reset Condition |
•
Return to normal voltage |
