DTC Description

The HECU monitors the pump motor relay. If the ECU detects an open or short in the motor circuit, it then sets this code.

A failure is detected if the Vmr is below (Motor Duty * 100 /3 – 2.8V) 7 times during motor relay is on.

A failure is detected if the voltage difference between power side and load side of motor relay is greater than 1±0.15V longer than 100msec during motor relay is on.

Reset Condition

Normal on a driving (vehicle speed is above 30km/h) after IG turned On again.

Case 2

DTC Strategy

Motor open, short to battery

Monitoring Period

After motor relay is switched off over 1.8sec.

Enable Conditions

A failure is detected if the Vmr is above 4±0.5V longer than 500msec during motor relay is off. (This monitoring works after motor relay is switched off over 1.8sec)

Reset Condition

Normal after IG turned on again.

Case 3

DTC Strategy

Motor lock

Enable Conditions

If any following condition is monitored, controller drives motor maximum 3 times for test. A failure is detected if any following condition is satisfied continuously during test.

1) Vmr is below 0.5±0.1V within 20msec after motor is off

2) The decreasing rate of Vmr for 1 second is out of normal range after motor is off.

Reset Condition

Normal on a driving (vehicle speed is above 30km/h) after IG turned On again.

Case 4

DTC Strategy

Motor GND Open

Enable Conditions

A failure is detected if Vpgrd is above 5V longer than 500msec during motor relay is on.

※ Vpgrd : The voltage of motor ground

Reset Condition

Normal on a driving (vehicle speed is above 30km/h) after IG turned On again.

Case 5

DTC Strategy

Motor fuse open

Enable Conditions

A failure is detected if VBAT2 is below 4±0.5V longer than 1 second.

Reset Condition

Normal on a driving (vehicle speed is above 30km/h) after IG turned On again.

Fail Safe

Inhibit the ESP(ESC)/DBC/AVH control and allow the ABS/EBD control.

MIL

The ESP(ESC)/DBC/AVH warning lamp is activated.
