Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Measure voltage between power terminal of the SRSCM harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. 12V
Is the measured value within specifications?

![]() | ▶ Repair open or short in power circuit between the SRSCM harness connector and battery, and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
IG "OFF".
Disconnect SRSCM connector.
Measure resistance between ground terminal of the SRSCM harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. below 1Ω
Is the measured value within specifications?

![]() | ▶ Repair contant resistance or open in ground circuit between the SRSCM harness connector and chassis ground and then, go to "Verification of vehicle Repair". |
IG "OFF".
Disconnect HECU and SRSCM connector.
Measure resistance between CAN(IMU) HIGH terminal (LOW terminal) of the HECU harness connector and CAN(IMU) HIGH terminal (LOW terminal) of the SRSCM(IMU) harness connector.
Specification : Approx. below 1Ω
Is the measured value within specifications?
