Erase the DTC and operate the vehicle within DTC Enable conditions in General information.
Connect GDS to "DATA LINK CONNECTOR(DLC)".
IG key "ON", Engine "OFF".
Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" with GDS.
Monitor the diagnostic trouble code and present of the trouble code.
Erase the DTC and operate the vehicle within DTC Enable conditions in General information.
Is the DTC outputted again?
 | ▶ Perform "Actuation Test" → "Stop Lamp Left/Right". ▶ If it is abnormal, check for the intermittent short to ground in the High Mounted Stop Lamp circuit caused by corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. ▶ If it is abnormal, go to "Wiring Inspection" procedure. |
 | ▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the High Mounted Stop Lamp or "SMART JUNCTION BLOCK_IPS CONTROL MODULE"(SJB)'s connector or was repaired and SJB memory was not cleared after repair. ▶ Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. ▶ Repair or replace as necessary, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
