Remove the air duct (A).
Remove the engine cover.
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Tightening torque
4.0 ~ 6.0N.m (0.4 ~ 0.6kgf.m, 3.0 ~ 4.4lb-ft)
Remove the air duct (A).
Disconnect the MAFS (Mass Air Flow Sensor) connector & IATS (Intake Air Temperature Sensor) Connector (A).
Disconnect the breather hose (B).
Remove the intake hose (C) and air cleaner assembly (D).
Tightening torque
Hose clamp :
2.9 ~ 4.9N.m (0.3 ~ 0.5kgf.m, 2.2 ~ 3.6lb-ft)
Air cleaner bolts :
3.9 ~ 5.9N.m (0.4 ~ 0.6kgf.m, 2.9 ~ 4.3lb-ft)
When installing the air intake hose, confirm the assembly mark of hose to that of turbocharger.
Installation is reverse order of removal.
Open the service cover (A) by unhooking the clamps.
Replace the air cleaner element (A) with a new one.
If there are foreign substances inside the air cleaner assembly, wipe the inside of the air cleaner assembly and then replace the air cleaner element.
Close the service cover by hooking the clamps.
