Remove the service cover (A).
Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Remove or fold the rear seat cushion.
Remove the service cover (A).
Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A).
Disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (B) and fuel return tube quick-connector (C).
Remove the center muffler assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Muffler")
Support the fuel tank with a jack.
Remove the parking brake line (A).
Disconnect the fuel filler hose (A), the leveling hose quick-connector (B) and the ventilation tube quick-connector (C).
Remove the fuel tank band, and then remove the fuel tank (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.
Installation is reverse of removal.
Fuel tank band installation bolts :
39.2 ~ 54.0 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.9 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)
After removing or replacing the part below, bleed air in low pressure fuel circuit.
