Monitor DTC Status
1.

Ignition "OFF", connect scantool.

2.

Ignition "ON"& Engine "OFF", select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTCs)" mode.

3.

Monitor diagnostic trouble code and present of trouble code.

4.

Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.

5.

Is DTC present problem ?

YES

a.

Side Impact Sensor and Airbag systems are mismatched, check the parts and substitute as known good SIS(you can try to use passanger’s SIS) or SRSCM if necessary.

b.

If the problem is corrected,replace SIS or SRSCM if necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

NO

a.

Intermittent failure, system is OK at this moment. Do not change Side Impact sensor.
