Operation
The advanced restraint (airbag) control module shell continuously illuminate the warning lamp indicator if any of the following two conditions exist. A side Impact Sensor fail to successfully transition through its quiet state," rail test" and "self test" states and into its" normal operation" state A Side Impact Sensor stops sending data after a successful power-up. Out of range or unexpected or invalid signals from the SIS will be detectable by the advanced restrain control module. The SIS will have the capability to determine invalid on-board regulation and perform accelerometer self-tests.
DTC B1414 is recorded when occurrence of a communication error between Side Impact Sensor and SRSCM due to invalid signals if you try to use incorrect parts for the system.
