Description

The purpose of the Inspection is to analyze whether the cause of irregular hesitation is fuel system or ignition system, intake/exhaust system. To analyze the cause of engine hesitation, Using the tendency of HO2 sensor waveform with stall test of the "D" range.

Diagnostic Procedure
1.

Engine "ON" and warm up the engine until cooling fan is operated.

2.

Connect a scanner to Data Link Connector (DLC).

3.

Analyze the cause of engine hesitation by stall test of the "D" range.

A.

Specification : refer to current data as below.

This current data is nothing but an example at certain condition. Thus, the real current data and waveform could be different from this example.

B.

When current data measured similar to [Fig1],

Go to "fuel system Inspection" procedure.

C.

When current data measured similar to [Fig2],

Go to "Intake/exhaust system Inspection" procedure.

D.

When current data is similar to [Fig.3],

Go to "Ignition system Inspection" procedure
