Make sure of fuel leak when fuel pressure gauge is installed for low pressure fuel system. Make sure of fuel leak after reassembling fuel hose quick-connector.

When DTC relates to rail pressure is displayed, Normal fuel supplying to high pressure pump is must inspected before checking high pressure fuel system.

Disconnect fuel supply hose quick-connector from function block.

- Make sure of fuel leak after disconnecting fuel hose quick-connector and an inrush of foreign substances.

Install pressure gauge of low pressure fuel between the fuel hose quick-connectors.

- Make sure of using low pressure gauge(CRT-1051), gauge connection tube(CRT-1052), connection adapter(CRT-1053).

IG KEY "ON", ENGINE "ON"

- Fuel pressure will be 0 bar after rising 3.5 bar when low pressure fuel pump is operated approx. 2 seconds at IG KEY "ON".

- Make sure of fuel leak in the quick-connector at ENGINE "ON" after installing pressure gauge.

Specification : Approx. 3.5 ~ 3.8 bar (pointer shook rapidly) at idle.

Inspect change of the fuel pressure while accelerating engine or stall test.

- The more engine rpm is higher, the more pointer shaking is bigger.

Specification : Approx. 3.0 bar at accelerating engine or stall test of engine. The more engine rpm is higher, the more pointer shaking is bigger.

IG KEY "OFF", ENGINE "OFF"

Specification : Fuel pressure will be 0 bar within 2 seconds with ENGINE "OFF".

Case 1 : In case that pressure of low pressure fuel system is normal.

Go to "High pressure fuel system inspection" procedure.

Case 2 : In case that pressure of low pressure fuel system is low continuously, Fuel pressure is under 1.5 bar while accelerating engine.

Go to "Supplying pressure of low fuel pressure inspection" procedure.

Case 3 : In case that pressure of low pressure fuel system is 0 bar (fuel pump is not operated) or low irregularly.

Go to "Fuel pump circuit inspection" procedure.
