Measure voltage of power circuit of the relay box. ("30" terminal of the relay box)

Specification : 12 V ( Battery voltage : "30" terminal of fuel pump relay)
Symptom of the engine stalling by abnormal fuel system is similar to poor acceleration. An engine doesn`t stall quickly. An Engine stalls after poor accelerating because of remaining fuel pressure. Therefore the purpose of inspection is to check connection of fuel pump power circuit and fuel pump.
IG "OFF"
Remove the fuel pump relay from the relay box.
Check pin connections of the relay box and the fuel pump relay.
Measure voltage of power circuit of the relay box. ("30" terminal of the relay box)
Specification : 12 V ( Battery voltage : "30" terminal of fuel pump relay)
Are pin connections and power of the fuel pump relay normal?
YES
Go to "Harness of the fuel pump Inspection" procedure as below.
NO
Repair pins of fuel pump relay and Replace the power fuse.
IG "OFF"
Disconnect fuel pump connector.
Check pin connections of the fuel pump connector.
Measure voltage of the fuel pump power circuit.
Are pin connections of fuel pump relay and harness normal?
YES
Go to "fuel pressure Inspection" procedure as blow.
NO
Repair(Replace) pin connections of the fuel pump relay and harness.
Check the fuel for excessive water,alcohol,or other contaminations.
Install a fuel pressure gauge.
Engine "ON"
Check fuel pressure of the fuel pressure gauge. (Check fuel pressure at idle, accelerating and stall test)
Specification : Approx. 350 kpa (3.5kg/cm², 49.8psi) at idle
(Fuel pressure is kept Approx. 360 kpa (3.6kg/㎠, 51.2psi) after it dropped to Approx. 320kpa(3.2kg/㎠, 42.7psi) at rapid accelerating and stall test.)
Is fuel pressure within specification when vehicle is accelerated?
YES
Fuel pump is OK.
NO
Replace the fuel pump assembly.
■ Injector Inspection
Check injectors, whether injectors are blocked or not after removing delivery pipe.
