If fuel pump is operated well, Probably there is no fault in the fuel system. And therefore check the "Injector" first.
IG "START"
Hold the injector with hand.
Check operation of injector while starting.
Is injector operated normally?
YES
Injector is OK
If there is leakage from injector, Impossible starting could be caused by fuel lock . Therefore if injector is operated well, leakage of fuel should be checked.
■ Fuel leakage from injector Inspection
1. Remove Injector and delivery pipe assembly.
2. Connect a scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
3. IG "ON"
4. Perform actuation test of fuel pump relay.
5. Check fuel leakage from injector.
▶ If there is fuel leakage from injector, Replace the injector.
NO
Go to "Power circuit Inspection" procedure as below.
IG "OFF"
Disconnect harness connector of Injector.
IG "ON"
Measure voltage between "1" terminal of the injector harness connector and chassis ground.
Probe(+) : "1" terminal of the Injector harness connector
Probe(-) : Chassis ground
Specification : Approx. B+
Is the voltage within Specification?
YES
Go to "Control circuit insepction" procedure as below.
NO
Check open or short circuit to chassis ground between Injector harness connector and control relay.(Refer to full circuit)
Check Injector fuse(15A) on the E/R fuse & relay box.
IG "OFF"
Disconnect harness connector of the Injector.
IG "ON"
Measure voltage between "2" terminal of the injector harness connector and chassis ground.
Probe(+) : "2" terminal of the Injector harness connector
Probe(-) : Chassis ground
Specification : Approx. 4.4V
Is the voltage within Specification?
YES
Faulty Injector
NO
Check open circuit between injector harness connector and ECM harness connector.
Check short circuit to chassis ground between injector harness connector and ECM harness connector.
