Remove the oil level gauge(A).
Remove the alternator. (See EE group - alternator)
Remove the intercooler hose.
Remove the engine coolant bleed hose.
Remove the radiator upper hose.
Disconnect the engine wire harness connectors from intake manifold side.
Remove the oil level gauge(A).
Remove the common rail(A).(See FL group)
Remove the thermostat housing(A).
Tightening torque :
20 ~ 25N.m (200 ~ 250kgf.cm, 15 ~ 18lb-ft)
Remove the EGR throttle body(A).
Tightening torque :
10 ~ 12N.m (100 ~ 120kgf.cm, 7 ~ 9lb-ft)
Remove the intake manifold(A).
Tightening torque :
15 ~ 22N.m (150 ~ 220kgf.cm, 11 ~ 16lb-ft)
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Remove the air duct and air cleaner housing.
Remove the battery tray.
Remove the intercooler pipe.
Disconnect the engine wire harness connectors from exhaust manifold side.
Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose and heater hose.
Disconnect the EGR cooler hoses(A, B), lambda sensor connector(C) and VGT exhaust gas temperature sensor connector(D).
Disconnect the turbo charger air intake hoses(A), breather hose(B) and VGT actuator vacuum hose(C).
Using the SST(09495-3K000), install the breather hose clamp.
Remove the EGR valve and cooler assembly(A).
Tightening torque :
Nuts(B), Bolt(C):
20 ~ 27N.m (200 ~ 270kgf.cm, 15 ~ 20lb-ft)
Nuts(D) : 25 ~ 30N.m (250 ~ 300kgf.cm, 19 ~ 22lb-ft)
Remove the oil separator(A).
Tightening torque :
8 ~ 12N.m (80 ~ 120kgf.cm, 6 ~ 9lb-ft)
Remove the turbo charger heat protector(A, B).
Tightening torque :
17 ~ 22N.m (170 ~ 220kgf.cm, 12 ~ 16lb-ft)
Remove the heater pipe heat protector(A).
Tightening torque :
8 ~ 10N.m (80 ~ 100kgf.cm, 6 ~ 7lb-ft)
Disconnect the turbo charger oil feed pipe(A) and oil return hose(B).
Remove the turbocharger support bracket mounting bolts(A).
Tightening torque :
35 ~ 45N.m (350 ~ 450kgf.cm, 26 ~ 33lb-ft)
Remove the front muffler(A).
Tightening torque :
40 ~ 60N.m (400 ~ 600kgf.cm, 30 ~ 43lb-ft)
Remove the EGR elbow(A) and turbocharger & exhaust manifold assembly(B).
Tightening torque :
EGR elbow bolt and nuts :
20 ~ 27N.m (200 ~ 270kgf.cm, 15 ~ 20lb-ft)
Exhaust manifold nuts :
30 ~ 35N.m (300 ~ 350kgf.cm, 22 ~ 26lb-ft)
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Remove the front muffler(A).
Tightening torque :
40 ~ 60N.m (400 ~ 600kgf.cm, 30 ~ 43lb-ft)
Remove the CPF(Catalyzed Particulate Filter)(A) after disconnecting the differential pressure hoses(B) and exhaust gas temperature sensor(C).
Tightening torque :
40 ~ 60N.m (400 ~ 600kgf.cm, 30 ~ 43lb-ft)
Remove the center muffler(A).
Tightening torque :
40 ~ 60N.m (400 ~ 600kgf.cm, 30 ~ 43lb-ft)
Remove the main muffler(A).
Tightening torque :
40 ~ 60N.m (400 ~ 600kgf.cm, 30 ~ 43lb-ft)
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Remove the front bumper. (See BD group - bumper)
Remove the air guide(A).
Remove the intercooler(A).
Tightening torque
15 ~ 20N.m (150 ~ 200kgf.cm, 11 ~ 15lb-ft)
Install the intercooler in the reverse order of remover.
