The purpose of the Inspection is to analyze the cause of hesitation through injector resistance inspection, waveform inspection.

Diagnostic Procedure
Injector resistance Inspection
1.

IG "OFF"

2.

Disconnect each connector of injectors and measure resistance.

A.

Specification : 13.8~15.2Ω at 68℉ (20℃)

Temperature

Injector Resistance

-4 ℉ (-20 ℃)

12.2 ~ 12.3 Ω

32 ℉ (0 ℃)

13.3 ~ 13.5 Ω

68 ℉ (20 ℃)

14.4 ~ 14.6 Ω

104 ℉ (40 ℃)

15.5 ~ 15.7 Ω

140 ℉ (60 ℃)

16.6 ~ 16.8 Ω

176 ℉ (80 ℃)

17.7 ~ 17.9 Ω

caution

The difference resistance of injectors at the same temperature : below 1Ω

3.

Is the measured resistance within specification?

YES

Go to "Injector waveform Inspection" procedure as below.

NO

Replace the injector

Engine "ON"

5.

Connect a scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).

6.

Measure the waveform of each injector at idle.

7.

Is "The injector waveform" displayed normally?

YES

Injector is OK

NO

Replace the injector after checking injector control harness and ECM.
