Check the ISCA function which is closed slowly when the vehicle is being stopped. (Check the ISCA using graph function or fright record function)
If throttle valve is closed quickly when a vehicle is being stopped, engine stalling occurs. Therefore ECM controls dash-pot by using ISCA. If ISCA can’t be operated well because of blocked, engine could stall when vehicle is being stopped. The purpose of inspection is checking ISCA function which is closed slowly when the vehicle is being stopped.
Engine "ON"
Connect a scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC) and select ISCA of the current data.
Check the ISCA function which is closed slowly when the vehicle is being stopped. (Check the ISCA using graph function or fright record function)
Is ISCA duty of the current data dropped slowly when vehicle is being stopped?
YES
ISCA is OK
NO
Cleaning the ISCA or Replace the ISCA which is blocked.
■ Method of Cleaning ISCA
1) Engine "OFF" and Remove the ISCA
2) Clean the inside of ISCA with carbon cleaner.
3) Clean the inside of ISCA with compressed air.
4) Connect the ISCA and check the operating condition of ISCA by actuation test.
