Measure the current.
First of all check damage of harness and terminals : Check terminals for contact resistance, corrosion and deformation.
Inspect glow plug current after checking battery condition. Do not measure the current in hot condition of glow plugs because glow plug current can be changed according to temperature.
IG KEY "OFF", ENGINE "OFF"
Install the ampere meter.
IG KEY "ON"
Measure the current.
※ Inspect glow plugs by current
- Glow plug use approx. 20~ 30 A current per each glow plug.
- Glow plug use lots of current in cold condition more than hot condition because resistance of glow plug is low in cold condition.
Case 1 : In case that glow plug current is below 80 ~ 105 A.
