If excessive exhaust fumes is discharged by CPF system and Engine control system malfunction. CPF would be damaged by excessive black smoke.
If MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is blinked and poor acceleration is occurred simultaneously, There is a fatal damage in the CPF system. First of all, Check DTC related with CPF system.
Inspect physical damage of the CPF visually, after checking intake/exhaust system leakage, EGTS (Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor) malfunction, DPS (Differential Pressure Sensor) malfunction related with CPF.
IG KEY "ON", ENGINE "OFF"
Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
Monitor engine system DTCs related with CPF.
Case 1 : In case that DTC is displayed in the engine system.
Repair the trouble causing part refer to DTC troubleshooting procedures.
Go to "CPF visually inspection" procedure.
■ If DTC related with CPF system would be displayed as blow, MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is blinked.
