Inspect the preheating system when engine does not start at cold starting. If there is problem in the preheating system, engine hard starting occurs at cold starting or initial engine hesitation occurs after starting and exhaust fumes are discharged.
IG KEY "OFF", ENGINE "OFF"
Disconnect the power supply connector (C306).
Measure the voltage between power supply connector (C306) terminal "1" and chassis ground.
IG KEY "ON", ENGINE "OFF"
Specification : B+ (0V after few seconds : glow relay "OFF")
Case 1 : In case that battery voltage is not supplied at IG KEY "ON".
Go to "Glow relay circuit inspection" procedure.
Case 2 : In case that battery voltage is supplied at IG KEY "ON" but engine starting is impossible.
Go to "Glow plug current inspection" procedure.
