Description

When main relay is not operated although IG KEY "ON" signal circuit and main relay circuit are normal. Inspect the ECM ground.

Diagnostic Procedure
ECM ground inspection
1.

IG KEY "OFF" , ENGINE "OFF"

2.

Disconnect ECM connector.

3.

Measure resistance between ECM connector (C330-2) terminal "2" ("4", "6") and chassis ground.

A.

Specification : Below 0.2 Ω

B.

Case 1 : In case that all ECM grounds are normal.

Replace ECM when Main relay is not operated although IG KEY "ON" signal circuit, main relay circuit and ground circuit are normal.

C.

Case 2 : In case that there is discontinuity or high resistance between ECM connector (C330-2) terminal "2" ( "4", "6") and chassis ground G39.

Repair open in ground circuit.

Repair chassis ground (G39).
