Go to "Control Circuit Inspection" procedure.
Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
Has a problem been found?
YES
Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure .
NO
Go to "Control Circuit Inspection" procedure.
Ignition "OFF"
Disconnect ICU and Antenna coil connector.
Measure resistance between terminal "1(3)" of the ICU harness and "1(2)" of the Antenna coil harness.
Specification : Approx. 0 Ω
ICM energizes antenna coil from Antenna coil (+) to Antenna coil (-).
Are measured resistances within specification?
YES
Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.
NO
Check for open or short in signal harness. Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
