Check "ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR"
1.

Ignition "OFF"

2.

Disconnect the "ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR" connector

3.

Measure the resistance between terminals "1" and "2" of the "ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR".

a.

Specification : Refer to " Reference data"

Is resistance within specifications?

YES

a.

Go to "CHECK PCM/TCM " as below

NO

a.

Replace ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR as necessary and Go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Check TCM
5.

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".

6.

Connect "ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR" connector.

7.

Install scantool and slect a SIMU-SCAN,

8.

Simulate voltage (0→5V) to ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR signal circuit.

9.

Is ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR signal value changed according to simulation voltage?

YES

a.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

NO

a.

Substitute with a known-good PCM/TCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM/TCM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
