Vehicle Parked & Ignition ON.
Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
Click "DTC Status" on the "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" menu bar to see DTC's information.
Confirm that "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in the freeze frame data or enable conditions.
Read "DTC Status" parameter.
Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?
![]() | ▶ Check DTCs related with CAN or signal of vehicle speed in the other system, such as ESP(ESC) or Engine. If there are the DTCs, repair them and then confirm deletion. ▶ Recheck TPMS system, if C1212 is still active DTC, Go to Next procedure. |
![]() | ▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor’s and/or Control module’s connector or was repaired and Control module’s memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. ▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
Vehicle Parked & Ignition ON.
Set up 'GDS' with 'GDS TPMS'.
Select "Vehicle S/W Management" mode.
Select the "Sensor Status" mode of "Data Treatment" item.
Postion the GDS TPMS as near as possible to the tire.(Fig.1)
(Reading may take 30~60 seconds depending on the sensor's characteristics.)
Check TPMS sensor's Sensor State value out of service data items. (Fig.2)
Specification : Sensor State is Sleep or Reset.

Is parameter within specifications?

![]() | ▶ Substitute with a known-good a TPMS Sensor and check for proper operation. ▶ If the problem is corrected, replace a TPMS Sensor and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. ▶ After replacing with a known-good TPMS Sensor, you must do the 'Register Sensor' at the Vehicle "S/W Management" mode by using GDS and GDS TPMS. and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
