1.
Separate the boot and remove the knob (A) by rotating it counterclockwise.
Separate the boot and remove the knob (A) by rotating it counterclockwise.
Remove the floor Interior console assembly.
(Refer to Body - "Floor Console")
Remove the air duct (A) by removing the nut.
Remove the bracket cover (A) by removing the nuts.
Remove the select cable (B) by removing the snap pin (A).
Remove the shift lever assembly (A) by removing the bolts.
Remove the shift cable (B) by removing shift cable clip (A).
Remove the main crash pad assembly.
(Refer to Body - "Main Crash Pad Assembly")
Remove the heater unit.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "Heater Unit")
Remove the retainer (A) after loosen the nut (B).
Remove the engine cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine cover")
Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air cleaner")
Remove the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
Remove the control cable.
Remove the pin (A).
Unlock the cable bracket clip (B) and remove it with the cable.
When removing the cable clip, spread it by pressing the "B" portion.
Replace the clip with a new one once it is removed.
Remove the shift cable at cabin room.
When installing cable, place the transaxle lever and the shift lever in 4th shift position and insert the lever fixing pin (A).
Install the retainer (A) and tighten the nut (B).
Tightening torque:
11.8 ~ 14.7 N.m (1.2 ~ 1.5 kgf.m, 8.7 ~ 10.8 lb-ft)
lnstall the heater unit.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "Heater Unit")
lnstall the main crash pad assembly.
(Refer to Body - "Main Crash Pad Assembly")
Install the shift cable (B) and then fixing the pin (A).
Install the select cable (B) and then fixing the snap pin (A).
Assemble the new clip (A) to the cable bracket and install the cable (B).
Move the locker (B) in the direction of "F" with pulling the holder (A) in the direction of "P".
Install the select cable (A), and then fixing the pin (B).
Fastening the holder (A) to the "P" directions after fixing the rockers (B) in the "F" direction.
Remove the fixing pin (A).
lnstall the bracket cover (A).
lnstall the air duct (A).
Install the floor Interior console assembly.

Install battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
lnstall air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air cleaner")
New shift lever assembly includes a 4th retaining pin.
Remove the 4th retaining pin after installing.
Check operating of lever of transaxle side when operating shift lever after assembly. (1~6,R)
