Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found ?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Power Circuit Inspection
■ Power Inspection
1.

IG "ON" & ENG "OFF".

2.

Measure the power voltage of "Rear Right side sensor" at SJB. (Smart Junction Box)

Specification : Approx. 12V

Is the signal output normal ?

▶ Go to "Ground Inspection" procedure.

▶ Thoroughly check fuses or connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Measure voltage between power voltage of "Rear Right side sensor" and ground terminal ofof "Rear Right side sensor" at SJB.(Smart Junction Box)

6.

Is the signal output normal ?

▶ Go to 'Inspection of LIN communication line between RPAS-CRH(Rear Center Right Sensor) and BCM[RPAS(Rear Parking Assist Module)]'

▶ Check a circuit between RPAS-SRH(Rear Right side sensor) and chassis ground and poor connection . Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

LIN communication line Inspection
■ Inspection of LIN communication line between RPAS-SRH(Rear Right side sensor) and BCM[RPAS(Rear Parking Assist Module)]
1.

Connect GDS and select "Oscilloscope".

2.

IG ON, ENG OFF and Shift lever R.

3.

Set a stuff or obstacle near the RPAS-SRH.(Rear Right side sensor)

4.

Measure a waveform between RPAS-SRH.(Rear Right side sensor) and BCM[RPAS(Rear Parking Assist Module)

Is measured value normal ?

▶ Fault is intermittent caused by BCM[RPAS(Rear Parking Assist Module)] DTC was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Check a circuit between RPAS-SRH(Rear Right side sensor) and BCM[RPAS(Rear Parking Assist Module)] and poor connection. And then repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
