Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Measure voltage between ESCL power terminal of SMK and chassis ground.
(Measure the voltage while ESCL doesn't work.)
Specification : Approx. 12V
Is the measured voltage within specifications?

Disconnect the connectors of SMK, ESCL.
Measure resistance between ESCL power terminal and chassis ground.
Specification : ∞ Ω
Is the measured voltage within specifications ?
