Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Measure voltage between brake light switch (brake switch) terminal of the HECU harness connector and hassis ground.
Specification : Brake light switch - 0V
Brake switch - B+

Press the brake pedal.
Measure voltage between brake light switch (brake switch) terminal of the HECU harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Brake light switch - B+
Brake switch - 0V
Is the measured value within specifications?
