Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Measure voltage between power terminal of the Yaw rate sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. 12V (Yaw rate sensor)
Is the measured value within specifications?

If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. note ※ In a case of replacing HECU, operate following functions 1) "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction (refer to C1261) -ESP only 2) "Longituginal Sensor Calibration" for Longituginal sensor offset correction (refer to C1285) - ESP only 3) "Variant Coding" for 2WD/4WD type setting (refer to C1702) |
