Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor connection. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration,or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to next procedure.

Control Circuit Inspection
■ Check for open in harness
1.

Ignition "OFF"

2.

Disconnect Driver Direction actuator and A/C control Module main harness connector.

3.

Measure resistance between DEF terminal of Driver Direction actuator harness connector and DEF terminal of A/C-Module harness connector.

4.

Measure resistance between VENT terminal of Driver Direction actuator harness connector and VENT terminal of A/C-Module harness connector.

Specification : below 1Ω

5.

Is the measured resistance within specification?

▶ Go to Next procedure.

▶ Check for open in harness.

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

■ Check short to ground in harness
6.
