Inspection
Lighting Switch Inspection (General type)

With the multifunction switch in each position, make sure that continuity exists between the terminals below. If continuity is not as specified, replace the multifunction switch.

[Lighting switch]

HS : Head lamp switch (Short inside)

[Dimmer & Passing Switch]

HS : Head lamp switch (Short inside)

[Turn Signal Switch]
[Front & Rear Fog Lamp Switch]
Lighting Switch Inspection (Autolight type)

With the multifunction switch in each position, make sure that continuity exists between the terminals below. If continuity is not as specified, replace the multifunction switch.

Wiper and Washer Switch Inspection (General type)

With the multifunction switch in each position, make sure that continuity exists between the terminals below. If continuity is not as specified, replace the multi-function switch.

[Wiper Switch (Intermittent)]

INT 1 : Intermittent switch 1 (Short inside)

INT 2 : Intermittent switch 2 (Short inside)

B1 : B1 (Short inside)

[Wiper Switch (2 speed)]
[Washer Switch]
[Rear Wiper & Washer Switch]
Wiper and Washer Switch Inspection (Auto type)

With the multifunction switch in each position, make sure that continuity exists between the terminals below. If continuity is not as specified, replace the multi-function switch.

Removal
1.

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

2.

Remove the steering column upper and lower shrouds (A) after removing 3 screws.

3.

Disconnect the connector. Release the lock of wiper switch using tool without removing the steering wheel and the clock spring.

Remove the wiper and washer switch.

Installation
1.

Install the wiper switch.

2.

Install the steering column upper and lower shrouds.
