Remove the shift cable (A) and select cable (B) after removing the pin (C-2ea).
Check the select cable for proper operation and for damage.
Check the shift cable for proper operation and for damage.
Check the boots for damage.
Check the boots for wear abrasion sticking, restricted movement or damage.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
Remove the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
Remove the shift cable (A) and select cable (B) after removing the pin (C-2ea).
Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Body - "Floor Console Assembly")
Remove the select cable snap pin (A) and then disconnect the select cable (B).
Remove the shift cable pin (A) and then disconnect the shift cable.
Remove the shift cable(A) and the select cable (B) from the shift lever.
Remove the retainer (A) after loosen the nut (B).
Remove the select cable and shift cable from the vehicle.
Place the shift lever and transaxle side lever in 4th shift position and insert the lever fixing pin (A).
Install the retainer (A) and then tighten nut (B-2ea).
Tightening torque:
11.8 ~ 14.7 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.5 kgf.m, 8.7 ~ 10.8 lb-ft)
Install the shift cable (A) and select cable (B).
Install the shift cable and then fix the pin (A).
Install the select cable (B) and then fixing the snap pin (A).
Move the locker (B) in the direction of "F" with pulling the holder (A) in the direction of "P".
Install the shift cable (A) and select cable (B), and then fixing the pin (D-2ea).
Tightening the holder (A) in the "P" directions after fixing the rockers (B) in the "F" direction.
Remove the fixing pin (A).
Install the floor console assembly.

Install the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
Install the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
New shift lever assembly includes a 3th retaining pin. Remove the 3th retaining pin after installing.
Check operating of lever of transaxle side when operating shift lever after assembly. (1~6,R)
